Retired Number

Should Robert Horry have his number retired by any of his championship teams?

He was pretty instrumental with all of them.
Is he deserving?

i'm torn. stars usually are the ones that get their jersey retired. that get into the hall of fame.

i think if you base it on his clutch plays then he is a HOF'er for sure and should get his number retired. but players are judged on their whole body of work and not shining moments. though admittedly horry's moments were very very shiny. like in championship rings shiny.

but if you base it on his whole game from game 1 to game 82 throughout his career you could easily say that he coasted and did what was needed from game to game, even though his talent and skill level suggest he could of done more during the regular season.

HOF and retiring jersey's are for star players, who've contributed at a high level nightly to one team for most of their respective careers. i can't say that robert horry did that every single night.

so with that i'd have to say no... but, there is always a "but"... i wouldn't be surprised if houston or l.a. does retire his number because of his contributions to both teams.

but i don't think he should as much as it kills me to say that.
