my horse is supported. She thinks she is the boss .. How can I show him that I am?
My horse knows she is the boss and now she is. Every time I go out to pasture his halter to his march toward the barn or go horseback riding, she pins her ears to the bottom and flares her lips so you can see his teeth. I need more than 15 minutes to catch it. How can I show him that I am the boss and you can not pin ears / kick / bite me?
when you get to take a package that make a noise when you move into your hand. it will get his interest and will focus on you. DO NOT look into the eyes (in fact the horse you are a preditior) and walk to her slowly. if she runs away, do not follow his change of direction and wandered slowly. once it is back and looks at you, turn around and try again until she gets bored and lets you walk right into it. Praise her and act as if she just won you several thousand pounds. sometimes just the back in his praise, give him a treat-carrot, apple, a piece of turnip, ect, then leave. when you want to catch, drag headcoller on genlty then praise him and give him a treat. when she pins her ears back and looks at you moodly. you ignore her and she walks on insite and your pace. Whose fight or scream at her, which makes things worse, be patient and praise every little improvement. Remember: praise the behavior you want, ignore the behavior you do not try Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks, too, they are fabulous for this sort of thing good luck EDIT: do do not say that Jeff.S. please do not overlook it, you can do with some work and patience
